List of Swadeshi Companies and Products - BE INDIAN BUY INDIAN!

NOTE : overnight any company can become swadeshi or videshi  so lets understand what is swadeshi ?
क्या है स्वदेशी ?
1. स्थानीय लोगों द्वारा निर्मित
2. जिसके मुनाफे का पैसा देश में ही रहता हो
3. जो हाथ से बना हो
4. गरीब से लिया हो

Below are the links for the list of  companies and products we use in our daily life. We should use the products/companies which are swadeshi  instead of foreign companies for the growth of Indian Economy

http://www.swadeshionline.in/sites/default/files/Swadeshi-Videshi_Products.pdf

Comparison of  Patanjali Products vs Foreign company products

Before buying any product from market just think why 80% people are living in very poor conditions in India.  It is only because we are using forign company products .

For example if we just start wearing Khadi and India Company cloths it can give employment to 60 Crore people in India.   Isn't it Surprising !!!

  2. Dear Sir,

What is your criteria for calling a company Indian? The world is increasingly getting globalized and the concept of Swadeshi is outdated. Please consider the following:

-- Would you call INFOSYS which as listing in Indian as well as US stock exchanges an Indian company? Now foreign investors can also invest in Indian companies through the Indian stock market. Can you find out what percent of INFOSYS stock is held by Indians?

-- What do you think about "Indian" companies such as Reliance? Although Reliance is an Indian company, most of its wealth is a result of the corrupt practices adopted by the company. Are you proposing that we support all such companies?

-- Are you aware that the computers, monitor and the Internet blog site you have used are all products of foreign companies?

-- Do you know the cellphone you use and all the infrastructure equipment used for by the cellphone companies are mostly foreign?

-- Most of the Oil we consume is foreign.

-- Does it matter whether a company is owned by a white or a brown skinned person? Have you explored the term socially responsible investing?

I am not against Swadeshi, but the rhetoric that was useful at the time of East India company is not relevant anymore. Swadeshi alone is not going to solve our problems.

Can you imagine an India without electricity, roads, computers, Internet and mobile phones? If we go Swadeshi, we have to get rid of all the cars because we cannot produce the oil needed to run it (India's biggest import bill is Oil). That means we don't need roads anymore (or we need just those needed by the bullock-carts and bicycles). I am not sure if we will have enough oil to even run all the trains we have, but we can keep that for the time being. For electricity we will have to necessarily depend on Indian coal (nuclear being foreign will not be an option), thereby destroying the entire planet by greenhouse gases. But a proud Indian cannot do that. So we say no to electricity (imagine what will happen to the farmers used to groundwater for irrigation). How will you cook or light up the house? Indian gas (despite recent KG basin finds) will be insufficient for 1.2 billion people. We will either have to have a two-tier society of rich and poor or we force everyone to use firewood. But that will destroy all our forests? So what do we do? Resort to the Indian wisdom, get up before sunrise and sleep at the sunset and use cow-dung for cooking!! Computers, Internet and Mobile phones, being mostly foreign will be a no-no. For the same reason, we will also have to boycott advanced medical technologies like ICUs, MRI, CT.

Rajiv-ji died for this ideology. I don't know much about him, but I wonder if he used cars or mobile phones. If yes, then he was not 100% Swadeshi. If that is true, was his death justified? Would you prefer to die like that? Do you think he (or someone else in his situation) would have done more service to the nation and this world by being more flexible.

I am not against Swadeshi, but I request you to start living in the present moment and think before you speak. If you want to be successful, you will need to redefine the concept of Swadeshi for the modern times.

    Your well-wisher.

    2. Living in the present demands that you live within your reach and means. Going out of your way to prostitute your skills for foreign currency isn't going to solve your problem and sure recipe to pluck out of reality. For a secured future we need organic growth, even if it means going back to bullock cart, so be it, but for a sustained economy it is necessary to have swadeshi. Because of rapid mindless westernization with influx of brainwashing from western products, our lifestyle has rapidly declined with half of our rivers barely surviving, our currency taking a heavy beating in international markets, our purchasing power of the farmer dwindling every day and there is nothing to show to the world other than being enslaved to the western whims as exhibited by the coolie companies like INFOSYS. A reality check demands us to be vigilant, and show enough tenacity and flexibility to adopt industrious culture and accept indigenous technologies as propounded by Bharat swabhiman, and reviving the prestige of Mother cow is a golden and easiest solution to feed 121 crore Bhaaratvaasi without going back to the dark old days of British enslavement. Situation demands that we become open-minded and accept 100% Swadeshi.

    3. I am not against developing a indigenous vehicle for transportation and purchasing car from a swadeshi company. But one should not overlook the advantages of a bullock cart:

      1. I have ridden a bullock cart. I have never seen a bullock cart stuck in the middle of a road. Mathematical probability of reaching your destination is close to 100% since bullocks never breakdown. Slow and steady ALWAYS wins the race.

      2. A bullock cart is not affected by the diesel price increase, nor by the pervert wars by the western nations at a slightest itch causing turmoil in supplies. Bullocks and Horses provides us amble buffering and isolation for common people to a greater extent from the relentless corruption taking place in Congress ruled governments.

      3. Bullock carts continues to sustain Mother Earth. Global warming is caused mainly by the methane emanating from the cars, slaughter houses and mining. Imagine with a car for every individual as seen in the West, soon the world is going to sink under depleted glaciers icebergs. Thus with a bullock cart, humanity is not threatened and our transport economy can be sustained. A bullock cart runs highest number of Kms with least maintenance.

      4. Bullock carts is very affordable without causing heavy debt to our nation. In fact, our fiscal deficit would be non-existent and our purchasing power will go up, our interest rate burden would go down and thus our economy will become at par with the world currencies, since the subsidies on fuel, fertilizers, tax-loot to car companies would stop. More jobs with negligible taxes from the sea of opportunities in organic lifestyle.

      5. Bullock carts will have less number of deaths on roads. I have NEVER come across any daily news of people dying from bullock carts! Due to mindless westernization, more than 1,50,000 people die on roads every year! Not to mention almost half a million people directly impacted from the drastic effects of a death in their family. The pollution from carbon sulphur released from cars, with subsequent manifold rise in illness is already taking a heavy toll in reduced efficiency in our economy.

      6. Bullock carts don't require us to spend thousands of crores on roads when a majority large part of our population is going to bed starving. Not to mention that more money and mining needs to go into maintaining these roads and bridges in every rainy season. A bullock cart track can be built for smooth rolling at 1/100th the cost and maintenance is less than 1/1000th the cost.

      7. Bullock carts will complement our need to have more Mother cows for longevity of our population and infusing valor in our Jawans to thwart challenges at our borders.

      8. Bullock carts has greater immunity from bad unskilled untrained drivers.

      9. Bullock carts are less stressful, more relaxed enjoyable traveling experience. I can exchange emails while driving!

      10. Bullock carts are perfect for short-distance travels, they don't cause traffic congestion as seen in this mundane world with people get stuck in their cars for hours at length, with a long uncertainty, and come to think of it, Bullock carts can be productivity saver!

      11. Bullock carts don't require massive mining, nor compromising with our Mother Nature. We can live healthy, hearty, peacefully, and strongly. Thanks to my Gau Maataa.

    1. Dear anonymous,
We must understand that the concept of swadeshi is applicable only for FMCG(fast moving consumer goods) where the quality of goods is not a big deal. But you must understand that FMCG majors like HUL, P&G take out a profit of 3 Lakhs crores out of this economy every year.Imagine if that very 3 lakh crores stays inside the country among our own manufacturers.Imagine a country which is able to lead space research, missile technology, but unable to form its own retail chains and supply demand systems. We are not asking you to go for swadeshi goods where the quality is much more important like in the case of computing systems, hard-drives etc.,But we will definitely make a big contribution, if we use medimix or mysore sandal instead of pears or lux, swadeshi chips instead of lays etc., I am not saying that the quality of all the swadeshi products is bad. Sometimes it is much better than the videshi ones. The bottom line is we need not be concerned about swadeshi and videshi, if our own firms are able to compete with MNCs and make huge profits like in the case of Infosys, Wipro, Mahindra Satyam etc. In the areas like telecommunication, you can opt for the best service provider irrespective of whether he is swadeshi or videshi. Oil is a fuel we use. Every country imports it from middle-east. So the argument is a little fallacious. Instead we can focus more on renewable energy lie solar, tidal, wind energy, bio diesels etc.,

Padhe-likhe gawanar kahin ke Rajiv Bhai ne correct kaha hai ki hamare desh ke sabse bade problem padhe-likhe Idiots hai jinhe Indian people and foreign people, Indian company and foreign company me diffence patta nahi hai.
Yadi company India ki hai aur usko chalane wala bhi Indian hi hai to company to Indian hi hogi na.Chahe wo foreign me kahi bhi listed ho.

Ab agar ek company like Vodafone tax pay nahi karti hai or profit lekar foreign apni country me chali jati hai to hamari Indian Govt kuchh bhi nahi kar pati hai, But If Reliance tax ki chori karta hai aur wo Indian resident bhi hai to govt use kabhi bhi prosecute kar sakti hai.

    3. dear sir,

what ever you said was right, but one thing you forgot to mention that why you need all those big big ideas think from basic needs just reduce those or avoid using the foreign items later you can control the large thing small thinks are brush, soap, eatables ex:coca cola lays, etc etc, just avoid those first it may be approx 2-5% but it will cost you more first start avoiding foreign goods for small small things later we can definetly reduce the large things NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE.

    Dear Sir,
You highlight many important and relevant issues which are indeed practical in nature.

But one thing I would like you to know is that if you go deep into the findings to Rajiv ji and read his literature more you will realize that he has covered even those aspects which you mentioned and he has also proposed a very practical approach towards this ideology in the current context which is a dynamically changing environment. There should not be a blanket ban on anything foreign. But a balanced approach towards self sufficiency in a phased manner.

Even this article starts with a disclaimer that it is pertaining to only zero technology products.

  12. the discussion is goin in some other direction.

first of all.. there is no product today which can be manufactured without using any technology.
U can not ask for enjoyment of current technological world, at the same time asking for complete swadeshi system.
can we live without current ammenities ?? the answer is flat NO.. ( those who say yes, switch of your computer/fan/bulb right away and will talk after 1 day )
Swadeshi today means to indegeneously develop technology now onwards... not cursing the technologies which already prevail.
libration in economy have repead huge benefit for all people (i know that it have not benefitted our agricultural sector that much) ... infact we all (IT sector) employees are indirectly working for them only... and all our servants / cooks / drivers earn indirectly from these MNCs only.
So, in this time of globalisation... we should redifine our definition for swadeshi... and should strive to make a mark on global platform to become global super-power... instead of withdrawing from world deserting cities and getting slept in spritualism in villages alone.

Those who in favor of foreign companies and investment are living in delusion because a nation can't become superpower until and unless it is able to develop its own products.

Think yourself what kinda a nation would be India who buy all foreign product including technology and weapons?

    Friends,
Mera bath ko serious se socho ( listen to my words carefully )
Don't try to say that to stop seeing computer, swith off mobile phones and fans. etc., before doing that try to read history very well and come back & erase all what u have written, early in east india period all the old writen books or in leafs and all vedas book which used to create a flight, and other machine books has been taken to there country and remaining they have burnt in our own country, upto 6 months all the books were burnt, please check it and then come again all who have discovered might have some reference, that is might be our own country gift to the westerns country. just check why foreign company wants to take indian engineers in their country, because they dont want to create a new company like their own company and hire them. this might be the solution for them think and go through this matter. Try to buy our own product and make our indian rich and give a change for the government to lead our india in front of all the country.
